Der nur 10-12 cm kleine Zilpzalp (Phylloscopus collybita) ist ein Singvogel aus der Gattung der Laubsänger (Phylloscopus) und vom Aussehen her nur schwer vom Fitis (Phylloscopus trochilus) zu unterscheiden. Er kommt von fast ganz Mittel- und Nordeuropa von Juli bis Oktober vor und überwintern im Bereich des Persischen Golfs, im Mittelmeerraum und in den Oasen der Sahara. Er besitzt ein grün bis olivbraun Federkleid auf der Oberseite, die Unterseite gelblichweiß gefärbt.
